Barrie Real Estate Market Report - First Quarter 2015

Here is a summary of Barrie’s residential real estate market for the first quarter of 2015.

Within the City of Barrie sales activity rose 17.9 per cent in January 2015 compare to January 2014, rose 17.1 per cent  in February 2015 compare to February 2014, up 15.5 per cent in March 2015 compare to March 2014.

 

The average price figure for homes sold within the City of Barrie was was a 9.2 per cent increase compared to the average selling price in January 2014, was a four per cent increase  in February 2015 compared to the average selling price in February 2014, was a 2.4 per cent increase in March 2015 compared to the average selling price in March 2014.

 

 

 

Overall supply remains below levels seen in most of the past decade. Active residential listings on the Association’s MLS® System numbered 916 units at the end of January 2015, down just three units from year-ago levels, numbered 1,036 units at the end of February 2015, up 4.4 per cent from year-ago levels.
